Character Creation Guidelines & Policy
Hello all! If you are considering purchasing the Study King, Prefect, or Headmaster Editions of the game which include the perk of adding unique characters into the game, we have just a few common sense guidelines that need to be followed:
Names & Identity
- Keep it realistic: Names must be relatively normal and fit the tone of the game world. No placeholder text, random keyboard smashes, meme names or internet screen names (e.g., xX_OverlordHector_Xx).
- No famous figures: Characters cannot be named after real-world celebrities, athletes, well known historical or current politicians, religious figures, or notorious historical personas.
- No offensive content: Profanity, slurs, hate speech, overtly political statements, or crude/obscene jokes (e.g., "Biggus Dickus") will be rejected.
- No copyrighted IPs: Please do not submit characters pulled straight from movies, anime, video games. Let's keep it original!
Headmasters & Special Abilities
For Headmasters, you will be working directly with the developers to give your character a unique, gameplay-altering ability.
- Grounded in reality: Abilities must fit within the logical boundaries of our game's universe. Superpowers are a no go: saying your headmaster can fly, shoot laser beams from his eyes, turn invisible or invoke Cthulhu are non-starters.
- Technically viable: The proposed mechanic must be something we can realistically code and balance without breaking the game's performance or core gameplay.
The Fine Print
We want to encourage your creativity and love seeing what interesting characters you come up with! However, we reserve the right to reject, edit, or request changes to any character name, design, or suggestion that violates these guidelines.
If a submission does not quite fit, we will reach out to help you tweak it so your custom character can safely make it into the game without bringing down the Headmaster's cane. Thank you for understanding and helping us keep the game fun and immersive.
