August 5, 2026 – Kana Sim Beta v0.9 Launches

Kana Sim is now available for purchase and download with all purchasers having access to the beta test builds. Our main focus during the beta test period is bug fixing, final feature implementation and general improvements. August 6, 2026 - Kana Sim v0.9.1 / v0.9.2

We have released hotfix v0.9.2 to fix a number of bugs in the timing progression system, issues with the end of day Home mini-game not firing, D.M. outside of office queue and the Prefect Roving assingment segment.

We have released hotfix v0.9.1 to resolve a few issues present in the launch beta build, particularly accessing the DM's computer, and no one being being able to enter the bathrooms near the canteen.

August 7, 2026 - Kana Sim v0.9.3 / v0.9.4

We have released hotfixes v0.9.3 and v0.9.4 to fix a number of bugs related to the D.M. queue, day rollover and D.M. / Prefect swap. Refer to the latest changelog in game.

August 9, 2026 - Kana Sim v0.9.5

We have released hotfix v0.9.5 to fix a number of bugs as well as some tweaking. Refer to latest the changelog in game.

August 12, 2026 - Kana Sim v0.9.6

We have released hotfix v0.9.6 to fix a few bugs with the Prefect Roving mini-game. Refer to latest the changelog in game.

August 28, 2026 - Kana Sim v0.9.7

Quick back from August holidays v0.9.7 release: adds a quick find box around the player character when centering on him with the period key.

September 4th, 2026 - Kana Sim v0.9.8

v0.9.8 release: Adds background npc character conversation and cp reaction bubbles.

September 11th, 2026 - Kana Sim v0.9.9

v0.9.9 release:Selecting on a character will now give a clickable option to 'examine' for more, previously unseen, detail; first custom student and prefect characters from Study King and higher editions of the game have been added
